I live in the Dayton, Ohio area. I enjoy donating most of my knitting to
those that are needy.

Any homeless shelter, Women shelters always need hats, slippers, afghans, hats and scarves. It makes me feel good knowing that
I have helped someone stay warm and most of all being thought of.

Animals: I knit "snuggle mats" for animal shelters, vets in my area
gladly take them and line the cages with them. I have two cats
and they love to snuggle up on them.

I use 3 strands of yarn and a 13 needle or 11 or whatever size you want.
Sometimes I use left over yarn or I just buy the big super saver yarn
that most Wal Marts have for $5.88. I make a square or a long oblong
so it could be folded in half. The pattern is up to you what you make.

Hi, Judy,

I've done some volunteer teaching, so I know what you mean about the satisfaction that comes with giving to people who need it. Going to bed at night knowing you've provided some good to others is a wonderful thing.

Keep up the great work!
